About Sow & Grow
My name is Julie, I have been gardening and teaching since 2011. I am passionate about gardening practices that enhance the soil, promote a healthy ecosystem and engage people and communities. I specialise in edible landscapes (beautiful gardens that use edible plants). I am dedicated to providing excellent services that will suit your needs and your garden's situation.
Over the past 9 years I have designed, built and managed a variety of gardens in schools, rooftops, community spaces, restaurants, backyards, and even in an art gallery (yes, it was indoors!).
I worked as the Head of Gardening for Global Generation and as the Gardening and Training Lead at the Regent’s Park Allotment Garden for 8 years. In that time one of my gardens won a Camden in Bloom award and I was on Gardeners World and Newsnight as a food growing expert (you can see more media appearances below).
I have designed and delivered training on a range of gardening subjects for adults (composting and wormeries, pruning, organic growing techniques, pest management etc.), and curriculum based gardening activities for children from reception to year 6.
